This year we were delighted to go to the newly rebranded Manchester Coffee Festival, formerly known as CupNorth.
Setting off bright and early, the promise of delicious coffee kept us going in the chilly conditions. It did not disappoint. Situated in the desperately cool Victoria Warehouse, the festival was buzzing with enthusiasm and coffee lovers from all over the country.
Without a question of doubt, our biggest take away from the weekend was how wonderfully intimate the event felt. Seeing everyone from the trade side to the public connecting with each other created a really charming atmosphere.
Generating interest in the public rather than alienating them with jargon and pretension made the Manchester Coffee Festival a fun event to attend; getting the public asking questions and learning more about production, sustainability and techniques in a laid back environment was a great aspect.
